Extraordinarily beautiful and rare porcelain, gold, jewellery, furniture, paintings, sculpture and textiles will be shown in this stunning exhibition which will focus on the years 1400-1450 during the rule of the powerful Ming dynasty. This was a period of great social and cultural change in China when Beijing was established as the capital city, the Forbidden City was built, and China enjoyed a period of unprecedented global contact with cities ranging from Kyoto to Mogadishu.
