Understanding Sculpture

From the ancient world to the present day, great sculptors have exploited their materials to create images both revolutionary and innovatory in style and outlook.

This course will look at the making and purpose of sculpture, its placing within the public or private space and how it was perceived by collectors and connoisseurs through the ages.
