This special exhibition, honouring the inspirational work of nurses in war-torn France in the First world War, centres on a remarkable series of vibrant and evocative paintings executed in 1915 by the French artist, Victor Tardieu. These depict the field hospital in the village of Bourbourg near Dunkirk set up by the redoubtale Millicent, Duchess of Sutherland
